My days of Community Service did not begin with so much enthusiasm. Initially, I thought it was a total waste of time, a scheme that University administrators developed in order to ensure some kind of control over our weekends; truth be told, that very thought is what got me out of bed one particular Saturday morning.

Charity at Njoboli Fulani Community
AUN students visited Njoboli, a Fulani community of Yola South, on Wednesday, September 18. They donated items such as clothing, shoes, bags, bathing/washing soaps, and money they had collected to ease local hardship.

Students Reflect
Love Clarkson, a business administration major, says that she wasn’t prepared for college when she came to AUN. "I just let everything happen, and it was a nice feeling. I became more excited about being an AUN student after my first community service experience in 2012. Giving back has made my time at AUN interesting."
Ailing Community Clinic Wears New Look
The third weekly community service outreach at Yolde Pate Health Clinic in Yola continued on Friday, September 20, with students completing the paint job at the old clinic building.
Yolde Pate District Head Commends AUN
The Yolde Pate District Head, Mallam Ardo Jingi, has praised AUN for its on-going community concern in appreciation of the AUN students and staff members who came to continue the painting and rehabilitation of the community’s clinic on Friday, September 6.
